- SHIPPING + PICK UP INFORMATION
What are your processing times? When can I expect my order?
Currently our processing times are 2-3 weeks (14-21 business days). We generally work faster but we like to give ourselves a large window - just in case. After your order is dropped at the post, the order can take anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks to arrive (this can be longer depending on post volumes). If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us before ordering to inquire of we can accommodate your request.
Is there tracking included with my order?
Yes, all order come with tracking. Your tracking will be provided via email when your order ships.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship ONLY to Canada and the US. Sorry international friends:(
Do you offer local pick up? How do I do local pick up?
If you'd like to pickup your order in Whitby, Ontario, please select "local pick up" at check out. Your shipping costs will be refunded when your order is ready to be picked up and you will receive an email notification that you have been refunded. Once your order is complete, we will send you an email to notify you that your order is available to be picked up from The Maker's Hub, located in Oshawa. The store's address and hours are listed in the pick-up email.
My package didn't arrive and I'm getting a tracking error that says 'incorrect address' or 'insufficient address'
The buyer is fully responsible for entering their correct delivery address.
We at Drop Dead Candles are NOT responsible for refunding or reshipping any orders that have been sent to an incorrect address if the customer has entered address incorrectly at check out. We understand mistakes happen and that's why when you purchase from us you will immediately receive an email confirming your purchase and requesting you double check your address. If you notice your address is incorrect and contact us BEFORE your item is shipped we will correct the address. If you let us know the address is incorrect after the order is shipped WILL NOT refund or reship the item. Please, please, PLEASE check that your address is correct

My candle arrived damaged/broken etc etc :(
UGH, BUMMER. Please contact us ASAP so we can resolve the issue by either send you a new candle/item or offer you a refund. Thank goodness for postal insurance!
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We do NOT accept returns or exchanges BUT if you are unhappy with your purchase, please let us know via e-mail and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

How do I burn my sculptural candles?
Are candles are meant for novelty use only. If lit please put on a flat fire proof surface (ceramic plate). Never leave a burning candle unattended.
How do I burn my jar/container candles?
Burn for a maximum of 2-3 hours. Trim wick to 1/4 inch before every burn. Do NOT blow the candle out, use the lid to snuff the flame. FYI: If these instructions are not followed there's gonna be a lot of smoke and soot and you're gonna set your smoke detector off and be very, very annoyed. If you notice the sides of your jar are getting black/soot-y - your wick is TOO LONG. Cut your wick to avoid this from occurring.
Why does my candle look dusty/frosty?
This naturally occurs over time as the wax crystalizes and it's nothing to fret about. If you'd like you can reduce the "dustiness" of the surface by using a blow dryer on your candle to melt it a bit (do it on the slowest heat setting and go verrryyyyy carefully as to not melt your candle into a puddle. You can also warm your hands by rubbing them together and make a wiping motion with your hands/thumbs - you will melt the wax a teeny bit and improve the colour.
What are your candles made of?
All pillar/structural candles are made of soy wax. Candles in glass jars or containers contain a soy and paraffin wax mix.
